Welcome Mr. Boddy!

The children got to meet their new teacher, Mr. Boddy today. We are very lucky to have such an enthusiastic educator join our St. Francis family! I know the transition for the children will be an easy one!

Education Week in from next Monday until Friday. An invitation (on blue paper) was sent home today in the agenda. Hopefully you can all make it out to not only meet Mr. Boddy but to get a glimpse  into what the students have been doing in the last few months. We've been busy working on some amazing projects!!!

Monday is also our volunteer breakfast. I hope you can make it there too. Your help around the school and in our classroom deserves to be appreciated! We couldn't do it without you!

BUSY WEEK AHEAD!

Well it is my last week with all of you before I leave on maternity leave. It's bitter-sweet for me. Time to go, but I will miss you all dearly!

We have lots going on this week in every subject. We will start our Google Slide presentation on any topic of your choice and you will have a chance to share these slides with your parents on the Tuesday during Education Week.

Our Green Screens are now all completed and uploaded onto Youtube! Awesome job everyone! What a great learning experience! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUOmXBreSZk

MATH -  We will wrap up Patterning and Algebra and then you will move on Measurement with your new teacher and Mrs. Bennett.

SCIENCE - We continue to work on Plants and Soils. We are combining the two units for the remainder of the year.

RELIGION - Fully Alive will be our focus for the remainder of the year.

BLUE THUMBS

EEEK! Some of the students are coming home with blue thumbs tonight as they had to share their fingerprints! A serious crime happened in our classroom last Friday! Somebody stole some OREO cookies from behind my desk and ripped open the desk. At this point EVERYONE is a suspect until they can convince me otherwise. The students will be writing persuasive letters trying to convince me that it is not them! I wonder who DONE it??? Hopefully we can solve this crime by the end of the week! Ms. Harrington
